My Teaching Experience

I started teaching when I was sixteen. The woodwind teacher at my school was inundated with clarinet pupils, so asked me to help out. I loved it! I've always really enjoyed teaching. I love the challenge of finding ways to enable people to achieve their full potential. Seeing the enjoyment that playing an instrument gives to people is hugely rewarding.

Of course, many years have now passed since I was sixteen and I must have taught hundreds of people. I have been lucky enough to work in some very prestigious establishments, including Downe House School and The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

In all these posts I taught both clarinet and saxophone, and throughout my career I have also taught privately.
